Drug Control deptt inspects various medical shops on Wed, Thurs

Srinagar, May 03 : Drug Control Department inspected various medical shops in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district during which the licenses of 14 medical shops were suspended for two days.
The two days inspection team headed by Assistant Drug Controller Baramulla Mohammad Bashir Banday and Kupwara, Drug inspectors including Dr Shabir Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad Pandit, Feroz Ahmad, Naseer Ahmad Pandit, Feroz Ahmad and Yousuf Mohiuddin inspected various shops on Wednesday and Thursday.
At least 14 licenses were suspended during the inspection for two days.
The officials told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that their licenses were suspended as the medical shop owners have failed to make sale and purchase record of habit forming drugs and psychopathic drugs.
The inspection was done in various Kupwara areas that include Trehgam, Kral pora, Sogam, Awoora, Tikkipora, Divar and Lalpora.
