Srinagar, June 4, : Kashmir Police have registered a case against the driver of Central Reserve Police Force for rash and negligent driving here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

   On May 27 last month, CRPF 28 Battalion driver Dara Singh who hails from Rajhstan lost control over his truck and hit a road divider. The truck turned turtle causing injuries to some 19 Forces personnel.

    The incident occurred in Bemina area of Srinagar city. Ironically, shortly after the incident, CRPF had claimed that the accident occurred due to stone-pelting, a claimed vehemently refuted by police that on the spur of moment released CCTV footage making it clear that the accident was caused due to rash driving.

   “We have registered a case vide FIR number 105/2018 by name against CRPF 28 Battalion driver Dara Singh of Rahasthan for “rash & negigent driving” under sections 279, 337, 427 RPC,” said an official adding that case has been registered at Police Station Batamaloo. (CNS)
