New Delhi, Jun 5 : On the occasion of World Environment Day on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged the people to ensure a clean and green planet so that the future generation can live in harmony with nature.
In a message to people on World environment day, Mr Modi said, “Greetings on World Environment Day. Together, let us ensure that our future generations live in a clean and green planet, in harmony with nature”.
The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ and India is the global host nation for the 43rd edition of this event.
Prime Minister in the 44th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ had underlined that India being the official host of the World Environment Day Celebrations is a recognition of India’s growing leadership in tackling climate change issues.
