Agartala, Jun 5 :Left backed Student Federation of India (SFI) state president Nilanjana Roy and her family in Tripura were allegedly attacked here last evening by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha activists.
The injured SFI president Nilanjana Roy was immediately rushed to near by government run IGM Hospital at Agartala escorted by police to avoid recurrence of untoward incident.
After preliminary treatment on her injured leg, Roy alleged, “A group of BJP Mahila Morcha activists discovered an attack on my ailing mother, later my younger sister and then on me.”
Adding to this she went on alleging, “Around 150 BJP activists has managed to enter my residence today in an aim to kill me as because I am a Left cadre.”
“It was simply pre-planned attack on me and on my family, where I was also brutally assaulted, ” she alleged.
However, getting an alarm a huge contingent of police rushed to the victim’s residence at Agartala Jogendranagar area and brought the situation under control, where some police forces were also reported to be injured in the attack.
The SFI and other Left wings in the state have condemned the attack and demanded the police to immediately arrest the BJO goons involved with the incident.
“I have already filed an FIR against the known BJP activists and others who attacked on me,” Roy added.
