IGP Kashmir directed to ensure shifting of CRPF from hospital premises: Akhter

Srinagar, Jun 12 : The time when ceasefire has been announced by the central government and Home Minister Rajnath expresses his willingness to hold dialogue with Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) in Kashmir, the CRPF has surprisingly occupied the under constructed Bemina maternity hospital the foundation stone of which was laid by former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed a month before his death in the year 2015. The hospital expected to have more patient enrollment capacity than the Lal Ded Maternity hospital in city center was expected to cater to the patient care facilities for three districts of north Kashmir.
The work on the hospital was though fast tracked by the government to ensure its timely completion but after the occupation of the hospital premises by CRPF the work on this hospital has come to a grinding halt.
When contacted senior PDP Minister and Government Spokesman Nayeem Akhter told KNS โ€œGovernment has directed IGP Kashmir to take immediate steps for shifting of the CRPF from the hospital premises to any other suitable place and hopefully the CRPF will leave the hospital premises within two or three days.โ€ (KNS)
