Jammu: A 65-year-old woman was injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said today.

Makhan Bi, a resident of Noorkot village of Degwar, was near the border fencing when some of her animals strayed and triggered a landmine explosion last evening, a police official said.

He said the woman, who was trying to bring back her animals, was injured in the explosion.

The injured woman was admitted to a hospital. (Agencies)
