Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen Friday morning shot and injured Imam of a Masjid at Parigam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Identified as Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Gur Bijbehara, was critically injured and was shifted to local hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar.

Local sources said that the gunmen fled from the scene soon after shooting at Imam.

They said that Ashraf leads the prayers at a Masjid in Parigam village.(Agencies)
