Says ‘strict instructions issued to concerned for stopping operating of stone crushers, JCBs’


Langate, Jul 17 : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jehangir on Tuesday said that government won’t spare anyone trying to use JCBs for extraction of sand and bajri in Nallah Mawer in Langate area of Kupwara district.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Deputy Commissioner said “we had already seized stone crushers and JCBs used for extraction for sand and bajri as per the directive of Jammu and Kashmir High Court but somewhere undertaking illegally mining activity during night hours which upon noticing was stopped.”
Warning that anybody trying to illegally operate any stone crusher or JCB will be firmly dealt under law, the Deputy Commissioner said “I have already strictly instructed Additional DC Handwara and other concerned authorities including police to strictly act against anyone trying to undertake any kind of mining activity in nallah Mawer.
