Srinagar: Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police on Sunday launched search operation in Lolab Valley of Kupwara district after militants attacked an army patrol this morning.
Militants on Sunday morning opened fire upon a patrol of army’s 28 RR in Khumrial forest area of Lolab of the border district, a senior police official told Local Daily. Following the ambush, he said, the army and police have started a combing operation in the woods.
“Search operation was started after militants fired at army. The operation is underway,” SSP Kupwara A S Dinker told Local Daily
