Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Khudwani, Qaimoh and adjoining areas on Thursday to mourn the killing of a local militant in a gunfight with government forces yesterday.

Binyan Yousuf Dar alias Bilal Molvi, a resident of Khodweni area in Kulgam district was killed alongwith his associate, Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Wali Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Suzan village in Doda district in Anantnag during a gunfight with government forces.

Local sources said that all shops and other business establishments are closed while as traffic are off the roads in Khudwani, Qaimoh areas of Kulgam district.

Partial shutdown is also being observed in Kulgam town, they said.   (Agencies)
