Says, ‘will fight with full resilience to ensure that no power succeeds in snatching the citizenship rights of people of JK’

Srinagar, Aug 24 : Hurriyat Conference (M) Friday stated that any sort of tempering with the hereditary State Subject Law of the State will invite serious repercussions and the people of entire State including the all segments’ of society will fight with full resilience to ensure that no power succeeds in snatching the citizenship rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hurriyat Conference (M) said that employing such ploys clarifies yet again that Delhi’s intentions towards the people of Kashmir are not good and the GOI wants to use its courts and military might to force people of JK into a submission.
Under Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) banner, hundreds of AAC and Hurriyat activists assembled outside historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar and staged a massive protest against the crusade launched by the anti-Kashmir elements through a series of petitions filed in the Supreme Court seeking roll back of Article 35 A. The protest were led by senior Hurriyat and AAC leader leaders Ghulam Nabi Zaki.
Meanwhile, on the completion of 29 years of operation Jamia Masjid, the Hurriyat spokesman said that the only motive behind this police operation was to instil fear among the then leadership especially Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Farooq (RA) to force him from representing the true aspirations of people of Kashmir.
The spokesman said that after operation Jamia Masjid, many religious places of Kashmir were targeted that include Hazratbal, Charar-e-Shareef, Khankah-e-Faiz Panah Tral, Astan-e-Aliya Khanyar and other mosques and shrines that were desecrated to hurt the sentiments of people of Kashmir. The spokesman said that despite many assaults the pulpit of Jamia Masjid continues to represent the true aspirations of people of Kashmir. Hurriyat said that the no power can stop the podium of Jamia Masjid from raising voice against injustices on the people of Kashmir.
