Pulwama: Militants on Tuesday made an attempt to blow up an army’s armoured vehicle in Pulwama district.

Around 3:15 am today, militants detonated an IED in Garbugh village of Lassipora here to target an army’s Casper, official sources told Local Media. Militants also opened fired upon the soldiers after detonating the IED.

However, no one was injured in the militant attack, sources said.

“The soldiers returned the fire after coming under attack,” they added.

However, a police official told that not an IED but a petrol bomb like substance was used in the blast.

“There were some minor burn injuries due to the explosion,” the official said. (Agencies)
