Islamabad, Sep 14 : Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed the desire to deepen bilateral relations with France into a lasting partnership.
On Thursday night, French President Emmanuel Macron telephoned Mr Khan to congratulate him on his party’s election victory and for assuming his office, a report in Pakistan The told media said.
The French leader also praised Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism.
Mr Macron expressed his government’s desire to cooperate in the fields of energy, water resource management and trade and to work on issues of mutual interest at the global level.
Appreciating the presence of a large number of French companies in Pakistan, Mr Khan invited more French investments into the country.
Mr Khan invited President Macron to visit Pakistan which the French leader gladly accepted.
