Bandipora 25 Sep:  Protest broke out today in this north Kashmir township after a family from south Kashmir claiming that one of the five militants killed in a forest area here by government forces was their son.

A group of people assembled at Gulshan Chowk here this morning when news spread in the area that a family from south Kashmir’s Kulgam has come forward claiming that one of the slain militants was their son Bilal Ahmad alias Abu Haider. The people staged protest against the alleged dubbing of a local militant as foreigner.

“My brother had crossed LoC in 2003. We know he is the one among the killed militants,” Mashooq Ahmad, a Kulgam resident claimed.
