Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered official holiday in the areas going for municipal polls on October 8, Monday.
Sources in the government confirmed the development, however, adding that an official notification to this effect will be issued later today.
Pertinently, the Joint Resistance Leadership of Jammu and Kashmir has called for a shutdown on the same day against the elections.
