Srinagar, October 17: A Deputy Superintendent of police (DySP Operations) and his PSO were injured in a grenade attack at Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday afternoon.

A police officer told GNS that the suspected militants attacked a police party near Babtang Pattan.

In the incident, two policemen including the DySP operations Zaffar Mehdi and his PSO sustained splinter injuries. The PSO has been identified as Shabir Ahmad(PSO).

Both the injured were taken to nearby health facility where from they have been referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.(GNS)
