At least eleven residents were injured after army men allegedly went berserk and thrashed them following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Trichal village of south Kashmirโ€™s Pulwama district last night.

Seven soldiers were injured in the blast triggered by militants when an armoured vehicle was crossing a bridge on Trichal-Lassipora road last night.

The residents alleged that soon after the blast soldiers barged into their houses and thrashed them “ruthlessly”.

According to a resident, around 11 residents including women received injuries in the army action.

He said that many of the injured were shifted to district hospital Pulwama for trearment.

Meanwhile, an army spokesman in Srinagar said they were ascertaining the facts regarding the incident.
