Srinagar: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries Saturday requested BB Vyas, the Advisor to Governor to extend date for submission of GST Returns by at least 10 days. The Chamber has cited the disturbing situation and internet suspension as the major reason for not filing the returns in time.

In a communiqué to the Advisor to Governor BB Vyas, the senior vice president of Chamber Nasir Hamid Khan has stated that dealers are facing immense problems in uploading their GST Returns due to the non-availability or slow speed of internet facility. “The previous few weeks have been disturbed due to the conduct of the local municipal elections and other reasons.”

“You are therefore requested to kindly have the date for submission of returns extended by at least 10 days so that dealers are not penalized for the uncertain situation prevailing in the state,” the communiqué reads.
