Srinagar: Government forces on Wednesday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjiwara village of Pattan in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Sources said that a heavy contingent of Jammu and Kashmir police, its operational forces SOG and army cordoned the area following inputs about presence of militants in the area.

They said that all the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by forces, and door to door searches are being carried out.

More details are awaited.
