SRINAGAR, OCT 29 : In a scathing attack on Pakistan, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik claimed that Hurriyat is caught in a web since it is scared of Pakistan and the militants.

“We can talk to the Hurriyat also but the problem is that they are caught in a web,” he said in an interview with Delhi based Newspaper. “They are scared of Pakistan and they are scared of the terrorists. They talk unreasonably.”

He also dismissed any talks of diluting the controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) saying that AFSPA can’t even be discussed let alone dilutes it. “The army is doing a very difficult job. They are the same people who rescued locals during floods. They treat locals in medical camps and yet they are targeted. We can’t even have a discussion on AFSPA, leave alone diluting it,” he stated.
