Pulwama: A woman has been injured during the clashes between government forces and protesters in Pampore town of this south Kashmir district, even as the Srinagar-Jammu highway continues to remain blocked.

Mugli Begum was hit by a stone when protesters and government forces were fighting pitched battle in Drangbal area of Pampore town this afternoon, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. The woman was hit by a stone in the head. She was removed to sub-district hospital Pampore for treatment, witnesses said.

Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Jammu highway continues to remain blocked due to the clashes between the government forces and the protesters that broke out over the killing of local militant Mohammad Amin in central Kashmir’s Budgam district early this morning.

Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that clashes have spread to Kadlabal, where government forces and protesters are locked in ding-dong battles.
