Directs admin to expedite restoration process post snowfall
Shopian: PDP legislator from Wachi assembly segment Aijaz Mir expressed his tremendous grief over the loss of horticulture sector due to untimely November snowfall. He visited different villages of his constituency and directed the concerned departments to remain alert. He was acompanied by SDM zainapora, Tehsildar Zainapora and officers from PHE, PDD, R&B, Horticulture, Revenue, Education, Health etc.
Mir said the apple growers are in distress due to the huge losses inflicted on their apple harvest and apple trees due to the snowfall.
He said that apple growing is the main source of economy in Shopian, the snowfall has inflicted maximum damage to the growers.
Later on he took a meeting with the above officials and directed them to expedite the process of restoration of all sectors.
MLA Wachi expressed pleasure over the assurance by the governor to compensate the loss hit farmers.
