Srinagar: Octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani was on Monday shifted to SKIMS hospital in Srinagar for medical check-up after he complained of chest pain.

Sources close to Geelani said that the Hurriyat leader had to undergo some medical tests and calibration of pacemaker.

They said that after necessary medical check up and other investigations Geelani was taken back home.

The octogenarian leader is undergoing house detention since 2010, when he led a mass uprising, at his home in uptown Hyderpora. AGENCIES
