Srinagar: Dozens of Hurriyat activists and leaders including Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairperson Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai; Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday participated in the funeral prayers of Syed Ali Geelani’s son-in-law at Sopore.

Ghulam Hassan Makhdoomi, the eldest son-in-law of Geelani passed away at SKIMS in Soura after an illness.

Witnesses said hundreds of friends, relatives and neighbours of Makhdoomi’s attended the funeral procession at Dooru village of Sopore.

Geelani, according to Hurriyat sources could not make it to the funeral prayers due to health issues.
