Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Friday urged the United Nations to take note of ground situation in Kashmir by sending a high level team to the Valley.
Addressing a Friday congregation at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said that the human rights situation in Kashmir is “grim”.
Mirwaiz condemned the detention of resistance leadership ahead of the world rights day. “It is condemnable that nocturnal raids are being conducted to arrest pro-freedom activists.”
