Langate, Dec 28 : Volunteers of three villages in Langate constituency of Handwara area of north Kashmirโ€™s Kupwara district came out to reappear the damaged water pipes after PHE ground staff turned a deaf ear to their repeated pleas for reappearing the water pipes which bursted due to negligence of PHE employees.
A legion of complainants told KNS that water pipes in Shahnagri, Khudi, and Hydermali in Langate constituency bursted as the water pipes were not found properly connected.
The locals claimed to have approached the ground staff many a times in last one month but they didn’t bother to pay heed to the demands of aggrieved locals forcing the youth of the villages voluntarily come out and reappear the damaged water pipes.
The locals have sought the intervention of Secretary PHE and Chief Engineer PHE Kashmir and demanded stern action against the local PHE ground staff for their negligence.
