Pulwama: Intense clashes erupted between the protesters and the government forces near the site of a gunfight in Hajin Payenn village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Reports said that the residents, especially youth, came out of their houses and pelted the forces with stones as soon as the news of gunfight spread in the area
They said the forces responded by firing tear gas at the protesters.
Meanwhile, police sources said that two militants have been killed so far in the gunfight while at least two more are still trapped in the area.
“The bodies are yet to be recovered from the site of the gunfight,” he said
