New Delhi, Jan 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the nation on the occasion of the National Voters’ Day and urged people from all walks of life to create awareness on voter registration.
“Greetings on National Voters Day. This is a day to reaffirm our commitment towards further strengthening our democracy by unfailingly participating in democratic processes at the local, state and national levels. Your doing so will go a long way in building a New India,” Mr Modi tweeted.
He further wrote: “I urge people from all walks of life to create awareness on voter registration and especially request my young friends to register themselves as voters if they have not done so already”.
Prime Minister said – “Every vote cast enhances our democratic fabric”.
Meanwhile, BJP chief Amit Shah also greeted the people on the occasion.
“The biggest festival of democracy is vote casting. Biggest strength in democracy is the power to vote,” he wrote in the micro blogging site in Hindi.
“On National Voters’ Day I urge all to make right use of the power to vote,” the BJP chief tweeted.
