Kangan: Residents of Margund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday staged a demonstration against the Power Development Department’s (PDD) failure to repair electricity transformer damaged a month ago.
The protestors, including women and children, blocked Srinagar-Leh highway resulting in hampering traffic movement on the busy road.
Protesters said that two neighbourhoods Bhat Mohalla and Najar Mohalla is reeling under darkness as PDD has failed to repair the transformer damaged a month ago.
