Poonch, March 11: A 22-year-old shopkeeper was killed after hit by a shooting stone amid heavy rainfall in Gursai area of Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Reports reaching GNS said that the shopkeeper Umar Farooq (22) son of Noor Hussain of Sanjoite, Gursaie was hit by the shooting stone when he was busy to drain out the water in front of his shop amid heavy rainfall at Gali Sanjoite.

In the incident, Umar died on the spot, they said.

SDPO, Mendhar Neeraj Padyar said that they have also received information regarding the shopkeepers death.

“A police party has been sent to the area to ascertain the actual details,” SDPO said. (GNS)
