Says education can play vital role in achieving this target
Kunzer, Mar 17 : Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) President and Former Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir Sunday said that empowerment of women is quite essential for the development and progress of society and that the target can be achieved by educating the woman folk.
Mir was addressing One-Day Women’s Empowerment Programme at Kunzer where hundreds of women activists participated.
“Man-folk has also an important role to play as presently the society is male dominated,” Mir said, adding that “it’s we who have to take the lead, and let’s begin today.”
Mir further said that in addition to empowerment of women educationally & economically time has come to empower them politically as well. Mir said that this is the right time to have adequate reservations for women in State Assemblies & Parliament.
The convention was also addressed by President Woman’s Wing Masrat ji, General Secretary Nazir Ahmad Wani, Mohammed Asadullah Dar, Farooq Ahmad Dar and Surya Akhtar.
