New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is expected to visit violence-hit areas of North East Delhi on Wednesday to review security situation, a senior security officer said here.
He had visited many parts of North East Delhi late Tuesday night.
Unrelenting violence over citizenship law since Sunday claimed 18 lives including Delhi Police personnel Ratan Lal and injured over 150.
During his round to the affected areas, Mr Doval spoke to all groups and assured them of strict actions against the guilty.
Violence erupted in some parts of North East district when the supporters and protestors of contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) reportedly clashed.
The Cabinet Committee on Security, the final decision-making body on matters related to country’s security – will meet today to discuss the violence in the capital.
