Bandipora, Mar 08 : At a time when the whole world is observing Women’s Day, a 17-year-old girl on Sunday committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her home in Bandipora village of northern district of Kashmir.

Officials told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the girl (name with held), resident of Ajas village after consuming some poisonous substance was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment where from she was referred to (CHC), Community Health Centre Sumbal.

However, doctors at the heath centre Sumbal declared her brought dead. “The reason for the suicide was not immediately known,” an official told KNO.

A senior police officer confirmed the incident and said they are investigating the incident and reason behind the extreme step was yet to be ascertained, he said

Earlier today morning, a teenage girl committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Danamazar area of Srinagar today—(Agencies)
