Srinagar, Mar 9 : The home-side Real Kashmir FC went down by a solitary goal against East Bengal as Victor Perez converted an injury-time penalty during an I-League match at TRC Turf Ground in the summer capital, Srinagar, on Monday.

Real Kashmir FC played most of the match with only 10 players after Danish Bhat was sent off in the 38th minute while Kallum Higginbotham was shown the door late in injury time along with the guest-side’s substitute Edmund Lalrindika for an off-the-ball altercation.

Coach of Real Kashmir FC David Robertson had continued with the same 11 that defeated NEROCA FC 1-0 last Wednesday. But, East Bengal had made few alterations from the 1-1 draw against Gokulam Kerala.

The players of Real Kashmir FC were kept busy in their own half, although the Kolkatan giants weren’t able to create a notable opening for themselves despite gaining the advantage of an extra man in the 38th minute.

East Bengal with 23 points from 16 games is on second position, while Real Kashmir has slipped from third position to fourth with 22 points.
