Srinagar, Mar 21 : A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who was ailing and under treatment  committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Srinagar on Saturday.

Officials told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a CRPF trooper, identified as HC Dilbagh Singh of 23 Battalion, posted at Srinagar civil secretariat, shot himself while on duty at around 12:30 Am tonight.

Soon after the incident, his colleagues rushed towards him and found him in a pool of blood.

The injured Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead, they said. A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official told KNO that the HC was sick and under treatment since past few weeks—(KNO)
