KCCI appreciates arrangements made at Srinagar Airport, asks Govt to evacuate stranded people from Kyrgyzstan

SRINAGAR, May 27: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appreciated the organized and efficient arrangements made by the administration at Srinagar Airport after the resumption of flights.

A KCCI spokesperson in a statement however said that the KCC&I had been receiving distress messages from stranded members of the business community and even students from various places especially Dubai, Mascat and Kyrgyzstan. โ€œThe students from Kyrgyzstan have also forwarded a list of 381 persons along with all details who are waiting to be shifted to Srinagar.

In view of the difficult financial conditions of the stranded persons in foreign lands, the spokesperson urged the Government to consider these sectors as priority sectors on humanitarian grounds,โ€ the statement added.
