Srinagar, May 28: Police have arrested two persons for uploading ‘obscene’ pictures of a lady on social media here in South Kashmir.
A police official told news agency KNT that they received a complaint that some morally corrupted persons have uploaded photographs of a lady hailing from Khrew area Pampore town here in South Kashmir.
Police swung into action and during investigation, the culprits were identified and arrested.
The official identified these accused as Yakub Khandey and Qasim Ahangar, both residents of Wuyan Khrew.
An FIR vide number 25/2020 was registered against the duo at police post Khrew.
Meanwhile, locals have demanded stern action against the culprits so that it could act as deterrent for others in future. (KNT)
