Srinagar, June 15: The deadly Coronavirus infection has claimed the life of an 18 year old youth in Kashmir Valley. This is the 2nd youngest person who has become the prey of this deadly infection. Earlier a 34 year old youth from Hawal Srinagar died of Covid-19 infection and that death had been directly attributed to Coronavirus.

Sources told News Agency KNT that an 18 year old boy from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district was admitted at SMHS Hospital Srinagar a couple of days back where he died this morning.

The samples of the deceased were collected on 13 June and yesterday he was tested positive.

Medical Superintenden SMHS Hospital, Dr Nazir Choudhry told KNT that though boy was Covid infected, but it was a physical assault case.

“Some people had physically assaulted him and a police case in this regard stands registered in Handwara,” he said.
