Srinagar August 20: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Thursday has questioned the government policy of continuing with the Rapid Antigen testing, terming it extremely worrying amid the dreadful spike in COVID 19 cases.

In a statement issued to KPS, Kadfeen has said that the government is giving least importance to the RT-PCR testing method which is much credible and reliable as compared to the Rapid Antigen testing and could reveal the exact picture about where we are in preventing the spread of COVID 19 in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides that, said Kadfeen, the testing will also prevent the infected persons from coming in contact with other people and spread the deadly virus. โ€œHowever, the government seems to have been playing a typical proverbial ostrich, turning its head away from reality sans any remorse. Those at the helm mush answer to the mounting apprehension of people about why a credible, trustworthy method of testing is given a wide berth by the government while as the process about which even Indian Council of Medical Research (IMCR) has raised doubts is given center stage. People from the medical fraternity too must come out of their oblivion and speak truth to power,โ€ said Kadfeen in a statement.
