Srinagar, Sep 12 : Scores of students of third semester from Government College for women MA road on Saturday staged a protest at press colony here and demanded concession in college fee.

The protesting students as per the news agencyโ€”Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that they are not able to deposit college fees amid the prevalant situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Our parents have not earned even a single penny since March this year due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, it is not possible for us to pay a huge amount at this juncture,” they said.

โ€œWe demand authorities to help the students belonging to poor section of the society at this time and give concession to us,โ€ the protesting students said.

They urged the varasity authorities to look into the matter to ensure that their studies will not get affectedโ€”(KNO)
