The Minister of State for Minority Affairs (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi addressing a press conference on the achievements of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, during 3 years of NDA Government, in New Delhi on May 11, 2017.

Srinagar, Nov 19: Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi arrived in Kashmir on Thursday morning as a part of DDC, Panchayat by-election campaigning and holds meeting with the workers of BJP in Kupwara in North Kashmir.

While lashing out at ‘Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration’, Naqvi said that the formation of the alliance is a conspiracy against the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the “Gupkar gang” has become “gumrahi gang” (deceiving gang) which is trying to create fear and confusion among the people just for its narrow-minded political interests.

He said that the abolition of Article 370 has demolished the “speed breaker” of redundant laws which had obstructed the development process in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

He also said ‘Gupkar Declaration’, an alliance of various mainstream political parties demanding the restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir, will prove to be a “dying declaration” for “dynastic and destructive politics” of the Congress and other alliance partners in the erstwhile state.

About security of Political workers contesting elections, Naqvi said that the security has been provided to many people already and all those who need it will be provided with the same.

Sources revealed to KDC that more senior people of BJP from Centre will arrive in Kashmir in the coming days. (KDC)
