Budgam, Apr 10: Budgam Police in its recent action against drug dealings have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession and booked the duo under NDPS Act.

A Police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that based on specific information; a police party from Police Station Chadoora established a checkpoint at Nagam area. During checking, two persons identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday son of Mohammad Sideeq Khanday, resident of Badipora and Irshad Ahmad Yatoo, son of Ghulam Mohammad Yatoo, resident of Nagam Chadoora were intercepted along with motorcycle bearing registration number JK01R-1045. On personal checking, officers were able to recover capsules/tablets of banned drugs from their possession.

The official said both drug peddlers have been arrested and a case under FIR no 35/2021 under section 8/22 of NDPS Act has been registered in police Station Chadoora and further investigations have been taken up. (KDC)
