Anantnag, June 3: A local Army soldier from south Kashmir’s Ananthnag district, who had sustained injuries after his service rifle went off accidentally yesterday succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that an army soldier identified as Muneer Ramzan Ganaie son of Mohammad Ramzan, a resident of Larkipora Anantnag belt of south Kashmir who was part of 52 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) was critically injured in Sopore area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district where he was posted when his service rifle went off accidentally yesterday.

He said that the army soldier succumbed to his injuries in the hospital today adding that after completing the medico-legal formalities his body has been dispatched to his native village for his burial. (KDC)
