Srinagar: The Jammu And Kashmir Handicrafts Employees Union (JKHEU) elected its new general body on Sunday.
In an emergency meeting of JKHEU held on 8th August 2021 in which head Union Members and Employees unanimously decided to elect Suhaib Munshi as it’s President, after the retirement of Fayaz Ahmed Shabnam on 31st July 2021.

While Mr. Mohammed Yousuf elected as Sr. Vice President, Mr. Ubaid Nisar have been elected as vice president. Mr. Ab. Majeed has been elected as General Secretary. Mr. Imran has been elected as Press and Publicity Secretary while Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Hajam elected as Organiser, Mr. Muzaffar Jan have been elected as Chief organizer and Aashiq chashoo as Cashier.
Suhaib Munshi also the President of School of Designs Employees Union which is considered as the Crown of Handicrafts Department of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and leader of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC).
There are so many issues of Handicraft Department which every member of the Department thinks that they need to be resolved, for which Munshi is considered as the top contender for the President’s Post. Due to his tactical trade union skills and experience Employees put their trust on him, issued in the statement by the union
Meanwhile, Suhaib Munshi has thanked all the Employes and UNION Members for putting their trust on him and has promised to solve all the departmental issue.
