Ganderbal, Oct 4: In an accident here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, driver and the conductor sustained injuries after the JCB skidded off the road and plunged into the Sindh Nallah.
The accident occurred near Hung Sonamarg on Srinagar-Kargil Highway during morning hours of Monday.
Police and locals rushed to spot and after hectic efforts retrieved both the driver and the conductor in wounded condition. Both were shifted to Primary Health Centre Sonmarg.
A police official identified the driver as Shahid Ahmed Gasi of Guzhama Ganderba and Conductor Irfan Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Wakura Ganderbal. (KNT)
