Srinagar, Dec 11 : The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar on Saturday said that the attack on a police party in Bandipora, killing two cops, was carried out by a Pakistani militant of LeT outfit and was facilitated by two OGWs.

IGP Kashmir told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a single Pakistani militant came and fired upon driver and one PSO of SHO Bandipora but couldnโ€™t snatch his weapon due to retaliation by second PSO.

He said that attack was carried by him alone and he was felicitated by two OGWs

Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir and GOC Kilo Force today visited to Bandipora and inspected the scene of attack.

IGP took joint meeting of army, CRPF and police officers and reviewed operational works and instructed field officers to generate specific inputs and enhance anti-militant operations in district.

Notably, two cops were killed in a militant attack in Gulshan Chowk area of Bandipora last evening. (KNS)
