Handwara police on Thursday said that it has seized 13 cfts illicit timber in Bakihakar area of Handwara in North kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A police official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the Police station Handwara following an information regarding illicit timber lying in the premises of Showkat Ahmad Sheikh son of Gull Sheikh of Bakihakar deputed a police party and recovered illicit timber approximately 13 cfts.

He said that the timber was seized and a case FIR No.253/2022 U/S 379 IPC, 26 IF Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation initiated.(KNS).
