Muslim in Batpora Tulmulla locality of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal om Sunday helped perform last rites of an elderly Kashmiri Pandit.

Locals told the news agencyโ€”Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Bansi Lal Pandit (60) alias Kaka Ji breathed his last at his home im Batpora Tulmulla yesterday.

They said that soon after the news of his death spread, locals visited his home and helped arrange made arrangements to perform his last rites.

They said that being his neighbour it was their duty to help family to perform the last rites.

Remembering the moments spent with him, locals said that Bansi Lal was a generous and kind man and was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter what time of day or night it was.

Meanwhile, family of Bansi Lal also expressed gratitude to their Muslim neighbours and said that they have always been by their side even during the toughest of timesโ€”(KNO)
