Praveer Ranjan, Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, on Tuesday in Srinagar.

The Director General was accompanied by Shri Sudhir Kumar, Additional Director General, and Shri Navajyoti Gogoi, Inspector General, CISF.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the prevailing security scenario and ongoing CISF deployments across Jammu & Kashmir. The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor was briefed on the Force’s role and operational preparedness in safeguarding vital installations in the Union Territory.

CISF currently has 12 units deployed in J&K, securing key establishments including airports, central jails, power grids, and hydropower plants. With the rapid pace of development projects underway in the region, the role and presence of CISF are expected to expand further in the coming days.

The meeting underscored the continued coordination between CISF and the Union Territory administration to ensure robust security arrangements and effective response mechanisms in line with national objectives.
