The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO), headquartered in New Delhi, has appointed Altaf Bhat as the President of its Jammu & Kashmir Chapter.

According to an official communication (Ref. No. IHRO/ND/APPT/2026/1241), the appointment recognizes Bhat’s leadership qualities, dedication to humanitarian causes, and commitment to social justice.

Members of the J&K Chapter expressed खुशी and pride over the appointment, describing it as a significant moment for the organization in the region. They said Bhat’s vision and efforts toward building an inclusive and progressive society have earned him this responsibility.

The core team of IHRO Jammu & Kashmir Chapter extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed president, expressing confidence that the organization will scale new heights under his leadership.

Media Head of the J&K Chapter, Muneer Ahmad, in his message, said the appointment is a proud and honorable moment for the entire team and wished Bhat success in his future endeavors.
